Leading UK digital consultancy Hippo has announced the opening of its new Liverpool office, further strengthening the Liverpool City Region’s reputation as one of the UK’s fastest-growing digital and technology hubs.
Located at Baltic Creative, the new base will support Hippo’s continued national growth while creating skilled jobs and new opportunities for collaboration across the region’s innovation ecosystem.

The move marks another significant investment into the Liverpool City Region’s digital economy, which is home to more than 51,000 professionals and 6,500 creative and digital businesses. With a growing cluster of technology companies, world-leading universities and a strong talent pipeline, the region continues to attract businesses seeking access to innovation, skills and growth opportunities.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, Hippo has grown from a Leeds start-up into a 900-person consultancy with offices across the UK. The addition of a Liverpool City Region base reflects the company’s confidence in the area’s expanding digital sector and its commitment to supporting economic growth across the North.
Building on a thriving digital ecosystem
The new office will enable Hippo to work more closely with local authorities, health organisations, universities and businesses across the region. The company also plans to strengthen connections with Liverpool City Region’s SME community through its Northern SME Alliance, helping smaller businesses access new growth opportunities and public sector contracts.
Hippo’s expansion will bring additional high-value digital roles to the region while supporting skills development through its Digital Academies programme, creating pathways into careers in software engineering, user research, business analysis and data engineering.
Showcasing innovation at the Liverpool City Region AI Summit
Coinciding with the launch of its Liverpool office, Hippo will participate in the Liverpool City Region AI Summit on 27 October at the Liverpool Experience Campus (LEX), where it will share insights on the adoption of artificial intelligence across public services. The summit will bring together leading organisations, innovators and policymakers to explore how AI can support productivity, growth and public service transformation.
Hippo’s investment is the latest example of businesses choosing Liverpool City Region as a location for growth, innovation and talent, reinforcing the area’s position as a nationally significant destination for digital investment.
